History

Civil construction called by the name of the sieur de Moneyroux who began its construction in 1447. The hôtel was undoubtedly built in part on the site of a small keep that existed in the 11th century. Towards the end of the 15th century, a hexagonal turret was constructed at the north angle, certainly intended to house a spiral staircase. At the same period, a new building body, constructed at right angles to the old one, came to enlarge the hôtel.
