The church depended on the abbey of Saint-Martin de Tulle and was fortified in the 15th century. The porch dates from the 12th century and presents great interest because of its general arrangements and especially of its sculpted elements of which the tympanum can be considered a landmark in the history of sculpture. Porch tower, barlong, from the 13th century implanted asymmetrically, which suggests that the primitive nave following it must have risen along an inclined axis. This nave was entirely rebuilt in the modern period. It narrows in its eastern part to form the crossing of the transept between two lateral chapels which form its arms. Sculpted capitals. Traces of painted decoration from the 17th century appear on the underside of the triumphal arch and of the arches opening onto the lateral chapels.
