Les premières mentions du château apparaissent au 13ème siècle. Il nen subsiste, aujourdhui, quune massive tour résidentielle, de plan circulaire, arasée au début du 17ème siècle. Cette construction est conservée sur deux niveaux délévation : une salle basse et un étage voûté dogives. Des traces de peintures murales (faux appareil polychrome) sont visibles sur lébrasement dune des baies éclairant lintérieur. Langle sud de la terrasse inférieure est flanquée dune tour arasée, appelée La Sellette, équipée de deux cannonières hautes et datées de la seconde moitié du 16ème siècle, voire début du 17ème siècle.

History
The earliest mentions of the château appear in the 13th century. There survives today only a massive residential tower, of circular plan, cut back at the beginning of the 17th century. This construction is preserved over two levels of elevation: a lower chamber and a vaulted upper storey with rib vault. Traces of mural paintings (polychrome ashlar work) are visible on the splaying of one of the openings lighting the interior. The south angle of the lower terrace is flanked by a tower cut back, called La Sellette, equipped with two high gunports and dated to the second half of the 16th century, or even the beginning of the 17th century.
