Historique
L'hôtel fut détruit après l'inscription de 1932. Seule la porte aurait subsisté mais lors de sa dépose, le blason fut l'unique élément préservé. Sculpté vraisemblablement au début du 20ème siècle afin de remplacer les armes de la famille propriétaire de l'hôtel, le blason actuellement conservé représente les armes de la Ville de Brive-la-Gaillarde, soit neufs épis d'or disposés sous la forme de trois fleurs de lys. Ces armes sont entourées de deux rameaux de feuilles et surmontées de trois tours d'enceinte crénelées symbolisant les murs de la ville. Une moulure à trois voussures formant des lignes ondulées chapeaute le tout et est décorée en son centre d'une palmette. La porte ayant été détruite, la radiation de l'édifice est en conséquence prononcée.

History
The hotel was destroyed after its registration in 1932. Only the door would have survived but when it was removed, the coat of arms was the only element preserved. Sculpted probably in the early 20th century to replace the arms of the family owning the hotel, the coat of arms currently preserved represents the arms of the Town of Brive-la-Gaillarde, namely nine ears of gold arranged in the form of three fleur-de-lis. These arms are surrounded by two sprigs of leaves and surmounted by three crenellated enclosure towers symbolizing the walls of the town. A moulding with three voussoirs forming wavy lines crowns it all and is decorated at its centre with a palmette. The door having been destroyed, the removal of the building is consequently pronounced.
