History

Within the citadel enclosure are two adjoining churches sharing a common bell tower. Built in the 18th century, the church of Sainte-Croix consists of a nave of six bays, terminated to the east by a square chevet. In the fourth bay, lateral chapels open out. The bays of the nave and the chapels are separated by pilasters supporting the springing of basket-handle vaults, by means of cornices.
