L'actuelle grille d'honneur en fer forgé de la Préfecture provient de l'ancienne abbaye de Beaumont-les-Tours (1785). History
The current wrought iron honour gate of the Prefecture comes from the former abbey of Beaumont-les-Tours (1785). It consists of panels in the manner of grillwork, formed of round iron bars penetrating and assembled with swollen holes, which are framed, on a base with balusters, by decorated uprights and a cornice with panels, executed in wrought iron heightened with bronze ornaments. The woodwork of the 18th century (circa 1759) of the small salon known as the Choiseul salon comes from the former House of the Intendance in Tours.
