La grille fermait autrefois une porte de l'enclos du couvent, dont la chapelle fut ensuite affectée au culte protestant. Elle remplaça, à une époque récente, la porte d'entrée de la cour de l'hôtel Baudry, rue de Lucé, hôtel qui fut détruit par un incendie en juin 1940. La grille est demeurée en place. History
The grille formerly closed a door of the convent enclosure, whose chapel was subsequently used for Protestant worship. It replaced, in recent times, the entrance door to the courtyard of the Baudry hotel, rue de Lucé, a hotel which was destroyed by fire in June 1940. The grille remained in place. The pediment presents, above a small cross, the monogram of the nuns, and is capped by a tiara flanked by palms.
