History
A circular cellar, whose walls in small ashlar date from the 10th century, is the lower room, originally ground floor, of the north-east corner tower of the fortifications of Châteauneuf. It was re-vaulted in the 15th century. Communicating with the former, a cellar of four bays with rib vaults was built in the 15th century, using part of the east-west fortification walls.
