Historique
Cet hôtel servit de palais aux ducs de Touraine. Au fond d'une cour, l'hôtel est une vaste habitation dont les deux bâtiments contigus se présentent en pignon. Entre les deux pignons se trouve une tour octogonale d'escalier dont la voûte supérieure peut être datée de la fin de l'époque gothique. Au-dessus de cette voûte se trouve la salle des gardes dont l'accès se fait par une tourelle ronde flanquée en encorbellement contre la tour d'escalier. Les fenêtres des étages inférieurs ont été agrandies au 17e siècle. A l'ouest de la cour se trouve un bâtiment du 18e siècle. A l'intérieur du bâtiment du 15e siècle, les pièces ont conservé leur aspect, avec des cheminées de pierre à hotte, dont l'une est cachée par une boiserie du 18e.

History
This hotel served as a palace for the dukes of Touraine. At the back of a courtyard, the hotel is a vast dwelling whose two adjoining buildings are presented in gable. Between the two gables is found an octagonal staircase tower whose upper vault can be dated to the end of the Gothic period. Above this vault is found the guardroom whose access is by a round turret flanked in corbelling against the staircase tower. The windows of the lower storeys were enlarged in the 17th century. To the west of the courtyard is found an 18th-century building. Inside the 15th-century building, the rooms have retained their appearance, with stone chimneys with hoods, one of which is hidden by 18th-century woodwork.
