Historique
Ancien fief relevant, au 14e siècle, de l'archevêché de Tours. Occupant le côté nord d'une enceinte dont les courtines ont disparu mais dont subsistent les douves, le château comprend un bâtiment rectangulaire flanqué, à chacun de ses angles, d'une tour cylindrique. La tour sud-est loge une vis de pierre. Les tours nord et les façades principales ont été reparementées en moyen appareil qu 16e siècle. La porte en plein cintre était précédée, au nord, par un pont-levis franchissant les douves. La chapelle, située à l'ouest et contigüe au château, comprend une nef couverte d'une voûte sur croisée d'ogives à moulures prismatiques.

History
Former fief held, in the 14th century, from the archbishopric of Tours. Occupying the north side of an enclosure whose curtain walls have disappeared but of which the moats remain, the château comprises a rectangular building flanked, at each of its corners, by a cylindrical tower. The south-east tower houses a stone spiral staircase. The north towers and the main façades were refaced in medium ashlar in the 16th century. The round-arched door was preceded, to the north, by a drawbridge crossing the moats. The chapel, located to the west and adjoining the château, comprises a nave covered with a rib vault with prismatic mouldings.
