Historique
Au 14e siècle, le château est une puissante forteresse entourée de douves. De cet ensemble médiéval subsistent cinq tours circulaires et les douves. Le logis actuel est le résultat de plusieurs remaniements et adjonctions successives. Le bâtiment principal, du 16e siècle, fut restauré au 18e puis en 1856. Il fut doublé au nord, au 17e siècle, par deux pavillons et prolongé au 19e siècle par une petite construction. A l'intérieur, le salon abrite des boiseries d'époque Louis XVI, endommagées pendant la Seconde guerre mondiale. Le salon conserve deux cheminées anciennes des 17e et 18e siècles. Les anciens communs de style Empire ont été en grande partie incendiés lors de la dernière guerre. Ils ont été prolongés par des bâtiments de style néo-gothique au 19e siècle.

History
In the 14th century, the castle is a powerful fortress surrounded by moats. From this medieval ensemble five circular towers and the moats remain. The present main dwelling is the result of several successive alterations and additions. The main building, from the 16th century, was restored in the 18th and then in 1856. It was doubled to the north, in the 17th century, by two pavilions and extended in the 19th century by a small building. Inside, the drawing room houses woodwork of the Louis XVI period, damaged during the Second World War. The drawing room preserves two old fireplaces from the 17th and 18th centuries. The former outbuildings in Empire style were largely destroyed by fire during the last war. They were extended by buildings in neo-Gothic style in the 19th century.
