Ancienne châtellenie relevant de l'archevêché de Tours. Le château se compose de deux ailes perpendiculaires, en retour d'équerre, limitant la cour d'honneur sur laquelle donne, au nord-est, la façade de l'église. Deux tours cylindriques occupent les angles sud et est du château. L'aile principale est limitée, au nord-est, par une tour carrée du 15e siècle, garnie d'un chemin de ronde avec mâchicoulis. Un bâtiment moderne est contigü à la façade nord-est de cette tour.

History
Former castellany dependent on the archbishopric of Tours. The castle is composed of two perpendicular wings, at right angles, limiting the courtyard of honour on which gives, to the north-east, the façade of the church. Two cylindrical towers occupy the angles south and east of the castle. The main wing is limited, to the north-east, by a square tower of the 15th century, furnished with a wall-walk with machicolations. A modern building is contiguous to the north-east façade of this tower.
