Jean Du Mas, chambellan et conseiller des rois Louis XI et Charles VIII fut le probable maître d'ouvrage du château actuel, dans les années 1470. Le grand corps de logis est flanqué de deux tours circulaires avec bretèches. Le pavillon d'entrée est garni de mâchicoulis muni d'une tour ronde avec meurtrières. Il s'ouvre par un grand portail en tiers-point avec rainures pour le pont-levis. La chapelle est cantonnée par quatre échauguettes, avec mâchicoulis. Fenêtres à remplages flamboyants. L'intérieur de la chapelle conserve des traces de peintures murales.

History
Jean Du Mas, chamberlain and counsellor to the kings Louis XI and Charles VIII, was the probable patron of the present castle, in the 1470s. The great main dwelling is flanked by two circular towers with bretèches. The entrance pavilion is furnished with machicolations fitted with a round tower with loopholes. It opens by a large portal with pointed arch with grooves for the drawbridge. The chapel is flanked by four corner turrets, with machicolations. Windows with flamboyant tracery. The interior of the chapel retains traces of wall paintings.
