Mentioned among the dependencies of the abbey of Déols in a bull of Pascal II dated 1115. Priory secularised in 1478. The church possesses a crypt which extends under the choir and must date from the 12th century. Two stairways gave access to it, having their opening in each of the transepts. Each of the stairways leads to a corridor forming a kind of entrance vestibule on each side of the crypt. The crypt proper is three-aisled. The two lateral aisles form united aisles, at the west, transversely, by a gallery, behind the two main bays of the crypt. Each of these main bays is divided in two by a column supporting the lateral arches. The three aisles and the dependencies of the crypt are closed by barrel vaults with lowered round arch, parallel to the main axis. The church, with the exception of the choir and the transepts, was the subject of numerous works, both in the 17th century and in modern times.
