History

The Romanesque nave, partly collapsed in 1933, is open to the sky. A large part of its south wall no longer exists. The 15th century bell tower, serving as an entrance, was partially demolished following this accident. The choir was rebuilt in the 16th century. The chapel where the wall paintings are located, attached to the north wall of the nave, would date from the 11th century and may have served as the base of the primitive bell tower. The wall paintings of the chapel (north and south walls, vault) are datable to the 15th century. The scene on the north wall representing Saint Christopher is classified as a historic monument, by order of 1 December 1913. Two heraldic friezes are also visible on the north wall. Of the scene on the south wall only the upper part remains.
