En 1032, on rencontre une mention de l'église Saint-Sylvain, sous le patronage de l'abbaye bénédictine Saint-Sulpice de Bourges. History
In 1032, a mention is found of the church of Saint-Sylvain, under the patronage of the Benedictine abbey of Saint-Sulpice of Bourges. During the second quarter of the 12th century the present church was built, at that time a priory church. At the end of the 12th century a lateral bell tower was erected. In the 15th century, the roof structure of the nave was rebuilt, and in the 17th century, a sacristy was added against the north side wall, replaced in 1837 by another, on the south side. Rib vaults were built over the nave in 1885. In 1951, the upper parts of the bell tower underwent complete renovation.
