Cette halle, entièrement en bois, ouverte sur trois côtés, fut construite en 1821 par un maître-charpentier de Nérondes. Elle comportait à l'origine une nef axiale et deux bas-côtés. Les poteaux définissant ces bas-côtés ainsi que d'autres pièces de charpente ont été supprimés lors de l'utilisation de ce marché couvert en caserne de pompiers. Ces modifications ont compromis la stabilité de l'édifice. Cet édifice est représentatif des halles rurales du Berry à charpente sur poteaux dont très peu d'exemples ont été conservés.

History
This hall, entirely of wood, open on three sides, was built in 1821 by a master carpenter of Nérondes. It originally comprised a central nave and two aisles. The posts defining these aisles as well as other roof-structure members were removed when this covered market was used as a fire station. These modifications compromised the stability of the building. This building is representative of rural halls of Berry with roof structures on posts, of which very few examples have been preserved.
