Cette borne milliaire date du 3e siècle. Elle a été trouvée près de l'église d'Allichamps en 1737, et transportée en 1799 à la demande de Béthune-Charost, sur la place de Bruère. Elle fut creusée pour servir de sarcophage au 5e siècle. Le monument se compose d'une petite plateforme élevée de trois marches portant un piédestal sur lequel est dressée la borne, couronnée par une tablette moderne moulurée. La borne est un bloc calcaire dont la section rectangulaire d'origine se devine sous les retailles faites au moment de sa transformation en sarcophage. Le sommet porte une inscription.

History
This milestone dates from the 3rd century. It was found near the church of Allichamps in 1737, and transported in 1799 at the request of Béthune-Charost, to the square of Bruère. It was hollowed out to serve as a sarcophagus in the 5th century. The monument consists of a small raised platform of three steps bearing a pedestal on which the milestone is set up, crowned by a modern moulded tablet. The milestone is a limestone block whose original rectangular section is discernible beneath the retouching done at the time of its transformation into a sarcophagus. The top bears an inscription.
