L'hôtel fut probablement édifié au 17e siècle, par un riche marchand ou un bourgeois. La pierre, rare et coûteuse à Albi, fut utilisée en abondance. La porte d'entrée s'ouvre su un couloir couvert de quatre travées de voûtes d'arêtes, de briques, séparées par des doubleaux pénétrant dans les murs. Ce couloir donne accès à une cour avec puits dont la margelle est surmontée par un arc en plein cintre accosté de pilastres à impostes moulurées, supportant un fronton triangulaire. Face à l'entrée, la façade d'habitation est percée de grandes arcades de briques. A droite de l'entrée sur cour, la construction s'ouvre par une porte dont l'encadrement comprend deux pilastres et un entablement droit. Une clé épannelée fait saillie sur le linteau appareillé et coupe les moulurations de l'architrave, en s'élevant jusqu'à la frise plane. Cette porte donne accès à l'escalier dont les balustres sont décorés de tableaux rectangulaires moulurés. Ils sont surmontés de boules de pierre. Le palier repose sur un arc en anse de panier en briques.

History
The hotel was probably built in the 17th century, by a wealthy merchant or bourgeois. Stone, rare and costly in Albi, was used abundantly. The entrance door opens onto a corridor covered with four bays of brick groined vaults, separated by ribs running into the walls. This corridor gives access to a courtyard with a well whose curb is surmounted by a round arch flanked by pilasters with moulded imposts, supporting a triangular pediment. Facing the entrance, the residential façade is pierced by large brick arcades. To the right of the courtyard entrance, the construction opens by a door whose frame comprises two pilasters and a straight entablature. A keyed stone projects on the ashlar lintel and cuts the mouldings of the archivolt, rising as far as the plain frieze. This door gives access to the staircase whose balusters are decorated with rectangular moulded panels. They are surmounted by stone balls. The landing rests on a basket handle arch in brick.
