Le 18 décembre 1693 fut décidée l'implantation de l'hôpital de la Clôture à la place d'une maison noble. Le pavillon fut débarrassé de ses constructions parasites. La façade fut étendue en ligne droite avec, à l'est et à l'ouest, deux ailes parallèles. La chapelle de l'hôpital est accessible par un escalier menant au premier étage. Un retable tapisse le fond du choeur, lui-même séparé de la nef par une table de communion en fer forgé. De part et d'autre se trouve une chapelle largement ouverte par un arc en plein cintre. Cette disposition se répète à l'étage, avec des baies largement ouvertes sur des tribunes. Le retable, en bois doré ou ciré, représente le cycle de l'enfance de Jésus. La chapelle est conçue pour permettre aux différentes catégories de personnes fréquentant l'établissement d'assister aux offices. L'ensemble hospitalier groupé autour de la chapelle est un bel exemple de l'architecture hospitalière du 18e siècle.

History
On 18 December 1693 it was decided to establish the Clôture hospital in place of a noble house. The pavilion was cleared of its parasitic structures. The façade was extended in a straight line with, to the east and west, two parallel wings. The hospital chapel is accessible by a staircase leading to the first floor. A retable lines the back of the choir, itself separated from the nave by a communion table in wrought iron. On either side is found a chapel widely opened by a round arch. This arrangement is repeated on the upper floor, with widely opened bays onto galleries. The retable, in gilded or waxed wood, represents the cycle of the childhood of Jesus. The chapel is designed to allow the different categories of people attending the establishment to attend services. The entire hospital complex grouped around the chapel is a fine example of 18th-century hospital architecture.
