History
The Benedictine abbey was founded in the 8th century. The church was built in the 11th century on the site of an older building. At the beginning of the 12th century, round arches were added in the transept. In 1250, a fire devastates the abbey. Reconstruction of the choir. The church is again devastated by the Wars of Religion in the 16th century. At the Revolution, the community was dispersed and the abbey's properties sold.
