Historique
Les dispositions générales de l'édifice dénotent deux périodes de construction. La nef se compose de deux grandes travées carrées, hautes de 25 mètres. Chaque travée se subdivise pour donner, entre les contreforts, deux chapelles surmontées de tribunes. Le choeur et le sanctuaire, construits du 15e au 17e siècle, présentent une disposition différente de celle de la nef. Une partie centrale, haute, sur colonnes isolées est pourtournée par un déambulatoire flanqué de neuf chapelles. L'abside est semi-octogonale. Les vues extérieures de l'abside révèlent le commencement d'exécution de dispositions (16e siècle) qui, accomplies, auraient modifié l'aspect de l'édifice. Chapiteaux Renaissance. L'église fut autrefois cathédrale. Un cloître était adossé à la façade sud.

History
The general arrangements of the building denote two periods of construction. The nave is composed of two large square bays, 25 metres high. Each bay is subdivided to give, between the buttresses, two chapels surmounted by galleries. The choir and sanctuary, constructed from the 15th to the 17th century, present a different arrangement from that of the nave. A central part, lofty, on isolated columns is surrounded by an ambulatory flanked by nine chapels. The apse is semi-octagonal. The exterior views of the apse reveal the beginning of execution of arrangements (16th century) which, if completed, would have modified the aspect of the building. Renaissance capitals. The church was formerly a cathedral. A cloister was set against the south façade.
