Historique
L'église des Récollets, communément appelée "du Calvaire", est l'ancienne chapelle du couvent des frères mineurs de la stricte observance, créé par Louis XI. L'église, construite de 1482 à 1487 environ, ne comprenait primitivement qu'une nef à chevet polygonal couverte d'une voûte en bois ; elle a été agrandie dans la première moitié du 16e siècle par l'adjonction de quatre chapelles accolées à son mur nord. Les trois premières chapelles ont été réunies pour former une sorte de nef latérale. La quatrième chapelle, qui était primitivement consacrée à l'Annonciation et dont l'arcade a été aveuglée, sert de sacristie. L'église a été construite en brique apparente ; elle possède un grand comble recouvert de tuile plate. Le couvent proprement dit a disparu pendant la Révolution.

History
The church of the Recollects, commonly called "du Calvaire", is the former chapel of the convent of the minor friars of the strict observance, created by Louis XI. The church, built from 1482 to 1487 approximately, originally comprised only a nave with a polygonal chevet covered with a timber vault; it was enlarged in the first half of the 16th century by the addition of four chapels adjoining its north wall. The first three chapels were united to form a sort of lateral nave. The fourth chapel, which was originally dedicated to the Annunciation and whose arch was walled up, serves as a sacristy. The church was built in exposed brick; it possesses a large roof space covered with flat tile. The convent proper disappeared during the Revolution.
