History
Cazeneuve, commander of Madagascar, lived there. He is known for the important role he played in the establishment of French tutelage in Madagascar, where he had become the intimate adviser and physician of Queen Ranavalo Manjaka. The main façade of this house recalls certain so-called colonial architectures, with its large covered balcony. It is decorated with 19th-century ceramic plaques, representing allegories of Christian art and the Renaissance. The loggia is framed by two fluted columns with Ionic capital. A sort of small oratory in sandstone is installed in a niche of the lateral wall.
