Historique
La ville a dû être fortifiée de 1435 à 1440. La ligne de remparts, aujourd'hui démolie, était flanquée d'une demi-douzaine de tours circulaires. Aux deux extrémités de la ville, une tour carrée servait d'entrée. La tour concernée a été découronnée de ses mâchicoulis dont il reste encore les deux rangs inférieurs des corbeaux. History
The city must have been fortified from 1435 to 1440. The line of ramparts, now demolished, was flanked by about half a dozen circular towers. At the two ends of the city, a square tower served as an entrance. The tower in question was stripped of its machicolations of which there still remain the two lower rows of corbels. The first storey comprises one room; the second is occupied by the city clock.
