The Romanesque building, from the 12th-13th centuries, was burnt by the English, leading to the refection of the vaults after 1436. The church was erected into a collegial church by the cardinal of Armagnac in 1546. In 1590, the church was desecrated by the Calvinists and the old chevet (which had radiating chapels of which one still subsists near the choir) was replaced by an apse with cut sides preceded by a very long choir after 1635. In 1758, refection of the bell tower. The vault of the choir is decorated with false coffering. The apse presents a painted vault representing, in medallions, the Evangelists framing God the Father.
