Ensemble composé d'éléments d'époques différentes, allant de la motte remontant à la première installation à l'édifice du 18e siècle coiffant l'infrastructure de l'ancien donjon. De la forteresse construite à l'époque romane subsistent la chapelle et quelques vestiges d'enceinte. Le château actuel date du 15e siècle, avec un logis transformé au 18e. Ce logis, édifié sur l'ancien donjon dérasé, est prolongé par un bâtiment plus bas faisant office de communs et s'appuyant sur une tour d'angle carrée. Les autres côtés du quadrilatère dominant la cour présentent un portail du 18e siècle, percé à l'est dans l'enceinte, et les ruines de la chapelle romane au sud conservant le portail ogival de l'ancienne entrée. Près de la chapelle se trouve le portail de l'ancien château féodal. Cette porte, datant du 15e siècle, s'ouvre sous un arc brisé orné d'une moulure. Le tympan de cette porte est actuellement dépourvu de décor, mais il devait autrefois comporter un bas-relief. Le portail du 18e siècle comporte deux niveaux : la partie inférieure, avec la porte, se termine par un arc surbaissé appareillé à crossettes ; un petit bandeau mouluré orné de petits chapiteaux sépare le niveau inférieur du niveau supérieur. History
Ensemble composed of elements of different periods, ranging from the motte dating back to the first installation to the 18th century edifice crowning the infrastructure of the former keep. The different parts are organized around a central courtyard. The rampart is still visible over the entire perimeter. Of the fortress built in the Romanesque period, there remain the chapel and some fragments of curtain wall. The present castle dates from the 15th century, with a main dwelling transformed in the 18th. This main dwelling, built on the former razed keep, is extended by a lower building serving as outbuildings and leaning on a square corner tower. The other sides of the quadrilateral dominating the courtyard present an 18th century portal, pierced to the east in the curtain wall, and the ruins of the Romanesque chapel to the south preserving the pointed arch portal of the former entrance. Near the chapel is found the portal of the former feudal castle. This door, dating from the 15th century, opens under a pointed arch ornamented with a moulding. The tympanum of this door is currently devoid of decoration, but it must formerly have comprised a bas-relief. The 18th century portal comprises two levels: the lower part, with the door, ends with a depressed arch set out with crossettes; a small moulded bandeau ornamented with small capitals separates the lower level from the upper level. The latter is ornamented with two lozenges in relief framing a rectangle, no doubt intended to receive a coat of arms.
