History
The primitive church dates from the origins of the monastery of Mauriac, around 827. It is replaced in the 12th century by the present church. The building presents characteristic Romanesque dispositions of small Auvergne churches: a choir prolonged by a long nave with simple barrel vault. The building was transformed by the creation in the 14th and 15th centuries of two lateral chapels forming a transept. The nave was vaulted in the 15th century. A staircase was built against the wall bell tower. The portal possesses leaves from the 18th century. Addition of the southern chapel in the 18th century.
