History

The church is a small building of Romanesque structure, several times altered, but remaining unfinished. To the Romanesque choir and the crossing of the transept of the 12th century, were added in the 13th century a transept, then in the 14th century a porch tower, in the 15th century two lateral chapels (around 1490) and in the 19th century, a sacristy. A small cemetery surrounds the church, whose silhouette is very original, with its slate roof coverings laid in a complex manner and the arcade bell tower, accessible by a ramp of external stone stairs forming a porch. Inside, the church houses an ensemble of wall paintings, from several different periods: false masonry of the 12th century, false masonry and funeral band of the 15th century, friezes, coats of arms and figured ornaments (archangels and Virgin in Glory) of the 17th century, paintings of the 19th century.
