Historique
Gentilhommière édifiée au 15e siècle puis modifiée intérieurement au 18e. L'intérieur présente un bon exemple de décor d'une maison campagnarde auvergnate à la fin du règne de Louis XIV (tapisseries du 16e siècle ; boiseries du 18e). Le château est un bâtiment rectangulaire (fin du 15e siècle) flanqué d'une tour ronde à l'est contenant l'escalier (1685). Les salles des premier et deuxième étages sont ornées de peintures sur trumeaux disposés au-dessus des cheminées, des portes ou des placards. Ces peintures témoignent de l'activité artistique régionale à l'époque et sont sans doute l'oeuvre de l'atelier de la famille Fabry.

History
Gentleman's residence built in the 15th century then modified internally in the 18th. The interior presents a fine example of the décor of a country house of the Auvergne region at the end of the reign of Louis XIV (tapestries of the 16th century; woodwork of the 18th). The château is a rectangular building (late 15th century) flanked by a round tower to the east containing the staircase (1685). The rooms of the first and second storeys are adorned with paintings on trumeaux arranged above the fireplaces, doors or cupboards. These paintings testify to regional artistic activity at the time and are doubtless the work of the workshop of the Fabry family.
