Historique
Construit à la fin du 19e siècle par l'architecte Mizard, le Castel Flamand présente une architecture importée du nord. Edifice trapézoïdal, présentant deux maisons jumelées, dont le répertoire décoratif s'inspire d'un style flamand empruntant à la Renaissance et au 17e siècle. Les façades s'ornent d'un ensemble sculpté (corniches, tables, frises, chapiteaux, modillons, culots, agrafes, volutes, coquilles, écoinçons d'arcs...). Les dispositions et les décors intérieurs ont été conservés. Plafonds à gypserie ; pavements de céramique polychrome ; cheminées de marbre. Un incendie détruisit les toitures qui perdirent leurs dômes au bénéfice de loggias qui couronnent les deux angles abattus des façades.

History
Built at the end of the 19th century by architect Mizard, Castel Flamand presents architecture imported from the north. Trapezoidal building, presenting two semi-detached houses, whose decorative repertory is inspired by Flemish style borrowing from the Renaissance and the 17th century. The facades are ornamented with a sculptural ensemble (cornices, tables, friezes, capitals, modillions, corbels, clasps, volutes, shells, arc spandrels...). The arrangements and interior decoration have been preserved. Plaster ceilings; polychrome ceramic pavements; marble fireplaces. A fire destroyed the roofs which lost their domes in favour of loggias which crown the two battered angles of the facades.
