Historique
Demeure de la fin du 18e siècle, ancienne maison d'un régisseur, caractéristique de la construction civile dans le Bourbonnais à cette époque. L'édifice consiste en un corps de bâtiment rectangulaire à rez-de-chaussée en briques polychromes, situé dans une cour carrée. Le commun reproduit en plus petit le corps de logis, avec moins de baies. A l'intérieur, une partie du décor 18e subsiste dans deux pièces. Dans la première, présence d'une niche encadrée de pilastres cannelés aux chapiteaux ioniques avec frise d'oves et de dards rappelant que la maison fut construite au moment du retour à l'antique. Les mêmes pilastres encadrent le dessus de la cheminée où, dans un cadre carré, un panier d'osier contenant des fruits et des feuillages est encore visible. Dans la seconde pièce, à gauche du vestibule, un second dessus de cheminée a conservé un décor de même style avec des pilastres non cannelés à chapiteau corinthien soutenant une architrave sculptée d'un motif de feuillages symétrique et stylisé.

History
Dwelling from the end of the 18th century, former house of a steward, characteristic of civil construction in the Bourbonnais in this period. The building consists of a rectangular block with ground floor in polychrome bricks, located in a square courtyard. The outbuilding reproduces in smaller scale the main dwelling, with fewer openings. Inside, part of the 18th-century decoration survives in two rooms. In the first, presence of a niche framed by fluted pilasters with Ionic capitals with a fillet of ovules and darts recalling that the house was built at the moment of the return to antiquity. The same pilasters frame the top of the fireplace where, in a square frame, a wicker basket containing fruits and foliage is still visible. In the second room, to the left of the vestibule, a second fireplace overmantel has retained decoration of the same style with unfluted pilasters with Corinthian capital supporting a sculpted architrave with a symmetrical and stylized foliage motif.
