Historique
Edifié au 17e siècle à l'emplacement d'une forteresse plus ancienne, remontant au 13e siècle, le château a été modifié au cours du 18e par l'agrandissement des baies. Seule l'aile des communs a conservé ses proportions d'origine. Le château se compose d'un corps de bâtiment allongé avec deux petites ailes en retour sur le côté cour. Deux tours circulaires encadrent le corps de logis principal, témoignant de l'ancienne destination défensive de l'édifice. A l'intérieur, la chambre d'Hercule conserve une cheminée en bois et des boiseries. Le grand salon est entièrement recouvert de boiseries dans un style rappelant celui du 18e siècle. History
Built in the 17th century on the site of an older fortress, dating back to the 13th century, the château was modified during the 18th by the enlargement of the openings. Only the wing of the outbuildings has retained its original proportions. The château comprises a body of elongated building with two small wings in return on the courtyard side. Two circular towers frame the body of the main dwelling, testifying to the former defensive purpose of the building. Inside, the chamber of Hercules retains a wooden fireplace and woodwork. The great salon is entirely covered with woodwork in a style recalling that of the 18th century. To the east, a vast terrace is planted with a garden created in the early 20th century, inspired by Italian taste. This building presents a form of rural dwelling of which it is rare to find examples so well preserved.
