Historique

History
Initially, presence of a feudal motte. Of the castle rebuilt in the 17th century, only the gatehouse remains. Around 1780, a new wing is constructed. From 1852 to 1862, the estate is occupied by Prince Adam Czartoryski, a Polish nobleman. At that time, the castle receives rich furnishings and decoration. The estate is composed of a rectangular courtyard bordered by buildings, with symmetrical accesses, the gatehouse to the east (17th century), the gate onto the garden, the dwelling on one side (second half of the 18th century), the barns on the other. Presence of a dovecote connected to the gatehouse by a low building. In the 19th century, a chapel is arranged in a pavilion of the gatehouse. The estate presents an architecture characteristic of the Bourbonnais region, with the use of timber and tile, and the laying of bricks.
