Le portail, la clôture du parc et les pavillons qui les encadrent sont les seuls vestiges du château disparu. En 1517, le château se présentait sous la forme d'un corps de logis flanqué de deux pavillons carrés. Le château actuel a été reconstruit à l'époque moderne, au nord de l'emplacement de l'ancien château dont il subsiste l'ancienne cour transformée en parc. L'ancienne cour est fermée à l'est par un mur de clôture percé en son centre par un portail d'entrée, et qui joint de part et d'autre un pavillon rectangulaire à l'angle du quadrilatère. A chacun des deux angles opposés, à l'ouest, s'élève une tour rectangulaire. Pour l'ornementation des façades, l'union de la brique avec décor losangé et chaînes de pierre est caractéristique de l'architecture du Bourbonnais.

History
The portal, the enclosure of the park and the pavilions which frame them are the only remaining vestiges of the vanished château. In 1517, the château presented itself in the form of a main dwelling flanked by two square pavilions. The present château was rebuilt in the modern period, to the north of the site of the old château of which remains the old courtyard transformed into a park. The old courtyard is closed on the east by an enclosure wall pierced in its centre by an entrance portal, and which joins on either side a rectangular pavilion at the corner of the quadrilateral. At each of the two opposite angles, to the west, rises a rectangular tower. For the ornamentation of the façades, the union of brick with lozenge decoration and chains of stone is characteristic of Bourbonnais architecture.
