Historique
Château constitué de divers bâtiments disposés autour d'une cour quadrangulaire, flanqué de tours et entouré de douves. Le corps de logis en L forme l'élément le plus ancien (14e siècle). Un donjon de plan hexagonal à l'intérieur, circulaire à l'extérieur, fait suite au corps de logis. Les autres bâtiments datent ou ont été remodelés au 16e siècle. La majorité des baies a été agrandie ou repercée au 18e siècle. Le crénelage de la tour sud-ouest date du 19e siècle. Du côté nord, le corps de logis dépourvu de toiture serait resté inachevé en 1573, à la suite de l'assassinat du propriétaire. ££A l'intérieur, au rez-de-chaussée, une pièce voûtée d'ogives conserve une cheminée médiévale. Dans les étages, d'autres pièces d'époques gothique et Renaissance conservent également des cheminées. La galerie du premier étage de l'aile ouest est ornée d'une peinture murale en trompe-l'oeil.

History
Castle consisting of various buildings arranged around a quadrangular courtyard, flanked by towers and surrounded by moats. The L-shaped main dwelling forms the oldest element (14th century). A keep of hexagonal plan on the inside, circular on the outside, continues from the main dwelling. The other buildings date from or were remodelled in the 16th century. The majority of the openings were enlarged or reopened in the 18th century. The crenellation of the south-west tower dates from the 19th century. On the north side, the main dwelling lacking a roof would have remained unfinished in 1573, following the assassination of the owner. Inside, on the ground floor, a vaulted room with ribs preserves a medieval fireplace. On the upper floors, other rooms of Gothic and Renaissance periods also preserve fireplaces. The gallery on the first floor of the west wing is decorated with trompe-l'oeil mural painting.
