History
This hotel, built in the 17th century on a square in the town, possesses the usual architecture of this type of noble residence of the classical period, without remarkable decoration except for the entrance door. A drawing room was given a set of panoramic wallpapers representative of this type of decoration. This is an undatable specimen of a model produced since 1804 by the Zuber manufactory and entitled "Views of Switzerland" after a drawing by the painter Mongin. It corresponds to the taste of the period for varied and picturesque nature, interpreted in a Rousseauian and romantic manner, and adorned with monuments and figures.
