Cette construction est représentative de l'habitat rural de cette région des plateaux sud-ouest du Velay. La ferme d'origine dut être bâtie au 17e siècle. Il en reste le mur d'enceinte et l'enclos à usage de verger. La maison elle-même a dû être démolie au début du siècle pour être remplacée par une maison de maître, plus adaptée au caractère bourgeois de la famille qui l'occupait. De plan allongé, l'édifice présente une façade s'élevant sur quatre niveaux, chacun étant souligné par un cordon de moulures dont le profil varie selon les étages. L'élément le plus original de la propriété, pour la région, est constitué par le verger enclos, d'esprit médiéval, qui s'ouvre par un portail à embrasure en arc brisé.

History
This construction is representative of the rural habitat of this region of the south-west plateaux of the Velay. The original farm must have been built in the 17th century. What remains of it is the boundary wall and the enclosure for use as an orchard. The house itself must have been demolished at the beginning of the century to be replaced by a manor house, more adapted to the bourgeois character of the family that occupied it. Of elongated plan, the edifice presents a façade rising over four levels, each being underlined by a moulding band whose profile varies according to the floors. The most original element of the property, for the region, is constituted by the enclosed orchard, of medieval spirit, which opens by a portal with embrasure in pointed arch.
