Historique
Ferme remontant au 17e siècle, ayant conservé ses dispositions anciennes. Cette construction est représentative de l'habitat rural de cette région des plateaux sud-ouest du Velay, bâti en pierre volcanique. L'édifice adopte le plan simple d'une maison d'habitation rectangulaire avec un important bâtiment servant de grange et d'étable, situé en retour sur la cour, du côté nord. L'accès à la grange s'effectue par un escalier et, au-dessus de la porte de l'étable située au rez-de-chaussée, un fenil a été construit, en avancée par rapport à la façade. Il est soutenu par une voûte en berceau qui forme un passage d'accès à l'étable. Deux portes latérales s'ouvrent également dans le passage, permettant l'accès d'un côté à la maison, de l'autre à une soue aménagée sous l'escalier de montée à la grange. La maison d'habitation comporte, au rez-de-chaussée, une première pièce voûtée d'arêtes, à l'arrière une pièce à cheminée donnant accès à une petite chambre secrète qui servit de cachette pendant la Révolution.

History
Farmhouse dating back to the 17th century, having retained its ancient layout. This construction is representative of the rural habitat of this region of the south-west plateaus of Velay, built in volcanic stone. The building adopts the simple plan of a rectangular dwelling house with a substantial building serving as a barn and stable, situated at the rear of the courtyard, on the north side. Access to the barn is by a staircase and, above the stable door situated on the ground floor, a hayloft has been built, projecting out from the façade. It is supported by a barrel vault which forms a passage of access to the stable. Two side doors also open into the passage, allowing access on one side to the house, on the other to a pigsty arranged beneath the staircase leading up to the barn. The dwelling house comprises, on the ground floor, a first room with a rib vault, and at the rear a room with a fireplace giving access to a small secret chamber which served as a hiding place during the Revolution.
