From a building constructed at the end of the 16th century, this castle was rebuilt in the 19th century to take on the aspect of a neo-classical villa, rhythmed by regular bays marked on the south facade by two pilasters in Volvic stone. Inside, the great vestibule is paved and vaulted with rib vaults resting on pilasters. The gardens accompanied by outbuildings were laid out at the end of the 18th century according to a plan reproduced in a series of period drawings. These gardens comprise a formal part, laid out to the west of the castle on different levels of terraces with basins, parterres, paths and staircases. Above subsists an old warren likewise arranged in the 18th century, comprising a network of paths, a water supply system with reservoirs as well as several grottoes of which one was transformed into a chapel and dovecote. This garden is significant of the history of gardens from the end of the 18th century.
