Hôtel particulier de style Louis XVI, construit dans la première moitié du 18e siècle, ayant conservé extérieurement ses dispositions d'origine, notammant son portail classique à bossages et sa façade sur jardin symétriquement composée d'un corps central à fronton et de deux ailes latérales. L'intérieur subit d'importantes modifications à la fin du 19e et au début du 20e siècle. La distribution intérieure fut divisée en deux : l'aile Est fut dévolue à des appartements de rapport desservis par une cage d'escalier commune ; l'escalier fut réalisé dans le goût du 18e. L'aile ouest conserva son usage comme hôtel particulier pour lequel fut créé un escalier privatif. Les six pièces d'apparat du premier étage furent redécorées dans le goût bourgeois de l'époque (salle à manger néo-Renaissance avec lambris à compartiments et cheminée monumentale à pilastres et décor végétal ; grand salon à décor néo-Louis XVI). Cet ensemble constitue l'une des demeures privées les plus importantes du centre de Clermont pour les périodes considérées.

History
Private hôtel in Louis XVI style, built in the first half of the 18th century, having preserved externally its original arrangements, notably its classical portal with rustication and its garden façade symmetrically composed of a central corps de logis with pediment and two lateral wings. The interior underwent important modifications at the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th century. The interior distribution was divided in two: the East wing was devoted to rental apartments served by a common staircase; the staircase was executed in 18th-century taste. The west wing retained its use as a private hôtel for which a private staircase was created. The six state rooms on the first floor were redecorated in the bourgeois taste of the period (dining room in neo-Renaissance style with compartmented wainscoting and monumental fireplace with pilasters and vegetable decoration; large drawing room in neo-Louis XVI decoration). This ensemble constitutes one of the most important private residences in the centre of Clermont for the periods in question.
