Cet oratoire est en fait une pièce en surplomb au-dessus d'une descente de cave. Cette pièce allongée est éclairée, du côté de l'accès de la cave, par une fenêtre guichet à chambranle chanfreiné et bassoir en saillie. La pièce est voûtée d'ogives à clef centrale pendante blasonnée avec une tour crénelée ouverte accompagnée de trois étoiles. Une crosse à volute est placée en pal derrière l'écu. Un ange porte cet écu qui est ceint d'une couronne extérieure à rinceaux et volute. Les quatre nervures de la croisée d'ogives retombent, ainsi que les arcs formerets brisés qui déchargent les murs, sur des culots empâtés soutenus par des anges sexués, variés dans leurs attitudes. Aucun document ne mentionne cet édifice qui peut être daté, par son style, de la période qui a suivi le grand tremblement de terre de 1490. History
This oratory is in fact a room projecting above a cellar entrance. This elongated room is lit, on the side of the cellar access, by a small window with a bevelled chambranle and projecting sill. The room is vaulted with rib vaults with a central pendant key blazoned with a crenellated tower open accompanied by three stars. A crosier with volute is placed in pale behind the shield. An angel bears this shield which is encircled by an outer crown with arabesques and volute. The four ribs of the rib vault meeting, as well as the broken pointing arches which discharge the walls, come down on squat corbels supported by sexed angels, varied in their poses. No document mentions this building which can be dated, by its style, to the period which followed the great earthquake of 1490. Its identification as an oratory is only a supposition, but the crosier figured on the vault key indicates that the patron was either an abbot or a bishop.
