Le portail sur rue, qui s'inscrit dans un chambranle classique à bossages et plate-bande cintrée, comporte deux vantaux à motifs asymétrique (coquilles ; volutes inscrites dans coeur). Le tympan de menuiserie est ajouré d'une rosace centrale. Le passage couvert, composé d'une première voûte en berceau, puis d'une voûte d'arête, est fermé sur la cour par deux vantaux grillagés en ferronnerie.

History
The covered entrance passage of this building is composed of a street portal with two wooden leaves in rocaille style, doubled by a grill with two leaves which closed the passage on the inner court side. This arrangement is unique in Clermont-Ferrand. The street portal, which is inscribed in a classical door case with bosses and arched fillet, comprises two leaves with asymmetric motifs (shells; volutes inscribed in heart). The timber tympanum is pierced with a central rose window. The covered passage, composed of a first barrel vault, then an rib vault, is closed on the courtyard by two grilled leaves in ironwork.
