Edifié au 14e siècle, le château montre encore dans son plan le tracé de la forteresse médiévale dont il ne reste plus qu'une tour ronde à l'angle nord. La façade de l'orangerie, aménagée sous la première terrasse, présente une architecture de bossages. Ce château constitue un ensemble remarquable, aussi bien par son aspect architectural que par ses décors intérieurs et ses jardins tranformés au 19e siècle par Edouard André, paysagiste de renom.

History
Built in the 14th century, the château still shows in its plan the outline of the medieval fortress of which only a round tower remains at the north angle. The building was entirely altered in the 17th and 18th centuries. Its façades are pierced with compound openings with stone chainings, dormers and doors. The façade of the orangery, fitted out under the first terrace, presents rusticated stonework architecture. This château constitutes a remarkable ensemble, both in its architectural aspect and by its interior decorations and its gardens transformed in the 19th century by Edouard André, renowned landscape gardener.
