History
The castle is surrounded by masoned moats which form part of the old defensive system comprising a set of buildings of which archaeological vestiges still remain. Beyond the moats, extend gardens delimited by an enclosure wall and formerly laid out in French formal gardens. The castle enclosure presents set-backs and flanking towers of which the lower parts remain. The castle is formed of an elongated main dwelling, with two wings in return. The construction of the building appears to date from the 13th century, with alterations dating from the end of the Gothic period.
