A côté d'une grande tour carrée, probablement édifiée au 13e siècle par le Dauphin d'Auvergne lors des guerres du règne de Philippe Auguste, a été construit au milieu du 15e siècle un hôtel destiné à la famille d'Aureilhe. Ce logis est actuellement ruiné suite à un incendie. A l'origine, un pont volant permettait d'isoler l'entrée en cas de danger. Les étages supérieurs, matérialisés par un plancher de bois ouvert par une trappe, étaient desservis par de primitives échelles volantes. L'intérieur du deuxième niveau conserve des traces de graffiti du 15e siècle (texte religieux en latin accompagné d'un dessin de crucifixion). Un escalier en vis est logé dans la tourelle Est.

History
Beside a large square tower, probably built in the 13th century by the Dauphin of Auvergne during the wars of the reign of Philip Augustus, was constructed in the middle of the 15th century a house intended for the family of Aureilhe. This dwelling is currently ruined following a fire. Originally, a flying bridge allowed the entrance to be isolated in case of danger. The upper floors, marked by a wooden floor open by a trapdoor, were served by primitive flying ladders. The interior of the second level preserves traces of 15th-century graffiti (religious text in Latin accompanied by a drawing of a crucifixion). A spiral staircase is housed in the East turret.
