Historique
Croix de chemin en lave de Volvic provenant du cimetière. Elle repose sur un piédestal quadrangulaire et pyramidal qui porte un petit bas-relief sur chacune de ses faces. Sur celle placée au-dessus de l'ouverture de la voûte est une Vierge de Pitié, sur la suivante est une ancre. A la face arrière est un personnage reposant sur un nuage et enfin sur la dernière face se voit Saint-Marc avec son lion. Le fût cylindrique de la croix part d'une base polygonale portant des moulures prismatiques, aux deux tiers de sa hauteur il est orné d'une bague moulurée. Au-dessus, sur la face antérieure, est le Christ attaché à la croix par trois clous ; derrière, une Vierge portant son Enfant. Sur les croisillons restent les pieds et les draperies des vêtements de personnages à genoux qui ont disparu, probablement des anges.

History
Wayside cross in Volvic lava from the cemetery. It rests on a quadrangular and pyramidal pedestal which bears a small bas-relief on each of its faces. On that placed above the opening of the vault is a Pietà Virgin, on the next is an anchor. On the rear face is a figure resting on a cloud and finally on the last face is seen Saint-Mark with his lion. The cylindrical shaft of the cross springs from a base with prismatic mouldings, at two-thirds of its height it is decorated with a moulded band. Above, on the front face, is the Christ attached to the cross by three nails; behind, a Virgin carrying her Child. On the cross-arms remain the feet and draperies of the garments of figures kneeling who have disappeared, probably angels.
