Cette maison du 15e siècle, qui a passé pour avoir été celle des échevins alors que Montferrand n'a jamais eu d'échevinage, présente un rez-de-chaussée avec deux baies de boutiques à arcs en anse de panier entre lesquelles se trouvaient deux petites portes. A l'extrémité, troisième baie à arc en anse de panier, étoupée. Les encadrements de ces ouvertures sont moulurés d'un cavet. Au-dessus se trouve un premier étage à pans de bois porté en encorbellement. Le second étage est également en encorbellement. La construction se compose de semelles portant des montants verticaux entretoisées de croix de Saint-André, le tout assemblé à mortaises et tenons. Le hourdis est formé de petites pierres volcaniques

History
This 15th century house, which was believed to have been that of the échevins although Montferrand never had an échevin body, presents a ground floor with two shop openings with basket-handle arches between which were found two small doors. At the extremity, a third opening with basket-handle arch, stopped up. The frames of these openings are moulded with a cavetto. Above is found a first storey with timber framing carried on corbels. The second storey is also on corbels. The construction consists of sills carrying vertical posts braced with Saint Andrew's crosses, all assembled with mortise and tenon. The infilling is formed of small volcanic stones.
