A la Révolution, la cathédrale subit des démolitions, dont la radiation du jubé, édifié au 15e siècle, sur l'ordre de Couthon en 1793. Les morceaux démolis furent jetés dehors pêle-mêle et vendus à un chiffonnier qui les remploya dans la façade d'une maison qu'il faisait alors bâtir. L'ensemble est en parfait état, hormis l'absence de la balustrade et de deux arcatures.

History
At the Revolution, the cathedral suffered demolitions, including the removal of the rood screen, built in the 15th century, on the order of Couthon in 1793. The demolished pieces were thrown outside pell-mell and sold to a rag-and-bone merchant who reused them in the façade of a house he was then having built. The whole is in perfect condition, except for the absence of the balustrade and two arcatures.
