Creusée dans l'angle d'un mur entre deux rues, à hauteur du premier étage, cette niche possède un socle prismatique sculpté sur le devant d'un écu. De chaque côté s'élèvent les montants de l'encadrement, formés de pilastres surmontés sur chaque face d'un pinacle aigu. Au-dessus, l'arc en anse de panier est décoré à sa clef d'une croix en relief. La statue posée dans cette niche, qui paraît avoir été faite pour la contenir, représente la Vierge tenant l'Enfant sur sa main gauche ouverte, tandis qu'elle pose légèrement sa main droite sur les genoux de Jésus. Une chevelure ondulée retombant sur les épaules encadre son visage. Cette oeuvre est à mi chemin entre le maniérisme gothique et l'académisme Renaissance.

History
Hollowed out in the angle of a wall between two streets, at the height of the first storey, this niche possesses a prismatic base sculpted on the front with a shield. On each side rise the posts of the frame, formed of pilasters topped on each face with an acute pinnacle. Above, the basket-handle arch is decorated at its key with a cross in relief. The statue placed in this niche, which appears to have been made to contain it, represents the Virgin holding the Child on her open left hand, while she rests her right hand lightly on the knees of Jesus. Wavy hair falling on the shoulders frames her face. This work is halfway between Gothic mannerism and Renaissance academicism.
